Bulge & Hollow Fix

5-7 Days

Recovery

Eye bags are not just about lack of sleep. They are a structural issue where the orbital fat pads herniate (bulge out), creating a shadow underneath known as the Tear Trough.

Simply removing this fat is an outdated method that leads to hollow, sunken eyes. Korean Lower Blepharoplasty focuses on "Repositioning." We unlock the bulging fat and spread it evenly into the hollow groove.

The result? The bulge is flattened, the hollow is filled, and the dark circle shadow disappears—all in one procedure.

The Korean Difference: "Smooth & Safe"

Advanced techniques to preserve your natural smile.

K-Beauty Secret

Preserving "Aegyo-sal"

We preserve the youthful muscle roll (Love Band) under the lashes. Western techniques often flatten this, but we keep it for a younger, smiling expression.

Dual Effect

Dark Circle Erasure

By leveling the "peaks (fat)" and "valleys (tear trough)," we eliminate the structural shadows that concealer cannot hide.

Safety

Canthopexy (Muscle Anchor)

For sagging skin, we anchor the muscle to the outer rim to prevent the eyelid from flipping outwards (Ectropion).

Which Type Are You?

Your skin elasticity determines the surgical method.

Type A: Bulging Fat Only

  • Puffy Eyes: Fat protrudes, making you look angry or exhausted.
  • Good Elasticity: No deep wrinkles or sagging skin.
  • Recommendation: Transconjunctival Fat Repositioning (No external scar).

Type B: Fat + Sagging Skin

  • Loose Skin: Deep wrinkles and excess skin hang below the eye.
  • Deep Grooves: The tear trough line is clearly visible and indented.
  • Recommendation: Incisional Lower Blepharoplasty (Removes skin + Repositions fat).

Surgical Approaches

Customized plans for scarless results or maximum lifting.

Scarless / Younger Patients

Transconjunctival Fat Repositioning

The incision is made inside the lower eyelid (pink conjunctiva). There is absolutely no scar visible on the face. We spread the living fat tissue over the bone to fill the dark hollows permanently.

  • Zero Scars: Ideal for models, actors, and professionals.
  • Fast Recovery: Minimal swelling, return to work in 3-4 days.
  • Natural Volume: Prevents the "hollowed out" look.
Anti-Aging / Middle Age

Lower Blepharoplasty (Incisional)

An incision is made just below the lower lashes. We remove loose, wrinkly skin and lift the drooping cheek muscle (SOOF lift) while repositioning the fat.

  • Wrinkle Eraser: Smooths out fine lines and excess crepey skin.
  • Cheek Lift: Slightly lifts the mid-face area for a youthful contour.
  • Scar Fading: The fine line hides perfectly under the lashes within months.

Transconjunctival vs. Incisional

Feature Transconjunctival (Repositioning) Lower Blepharoplasty (Lift)
Incision Site Inside Eyelid (Internal) Subciliary (Below lashes)
Skin Removal No Yes (Tightens skin)
Scar Visibility None Fades under lash line (3-6 mo)
Primary Goal Fat Bulge & Dark Circles Sagging Skin & Deep Wrinkles
Estimated Cost $1,500 ~ $2,500 $2,500 ~ $4,500

* Prices vary based on anesthesia and complexity (e.g., combining with fat grafting).

Recovery Timeline

A quick return to daily life.

Day 1-2

Taping

Small tapes are applied under the eyes to compress swelling. Vision is not obstructed.

Day 5-7

Stitch Removal

For Incisional Blepharoplasty, stitches are removed. (Transconjunctival has no stitches to remove).

2 W

Social Life

Bruising (yellowish) disappears completely. Makeup can cover any remaining signs.

3 Mo

Final Smoothness

The tissues integrate fully. The under-eye area looks natural, bright, and flat.

Safety Protocols

Preventing complications is as important as the result.

Ectropion Prevention

Removing too much skin can cause the eyelid to flip outward. We calculate the safe excision amount precisely and perform "Canthopexy" (muscle anchoring) if needed.

Hollow Eye Prevention

We do not just throw away the fat. We reuse it to fill the tear trough, preventing the "skeletal" look often seen after aggressive removal.

Retaining Ligament Release

The dark shadow is often caused by a tight ligament pulling the skin. We release this ligament to ensure the under-eye area becomes truly flat.

FAQ

Common questions, answered clearly.

Will the fat bags come back?
The repositioned fat is living tissue that settles in a new location. While natural aging continues, the "bulge" rarely returns to its original severity because we reinforce the orbital septum wall.
Can lasers fix eye bags?
Lasers can tighten skin slightly, but they cannot remove or reposition the herniated fat pad. Surgery is the only structural solution for true eye bags.
Will my dark circles disappear completely?
If the darkness is caused by shadows (bulges/grooves), it will improve dramatically. If it is caused by skin pigmentation (allergies/genetic), you may need laser toning after surgery.
I had fillers before. Is that okay?
Yes, but we may need to dissolve the remaining filler (hyaluronidase) a few days before surgery to see your true anatomy and ensure a smooth result.
