What Is
Endoscopic Lift?

Anesthesia

Recovery

As we age, the forehead skin and muscles descend, pushing the eyebrows down. This creates "hooded eyes" and deep horizontal wrinkles.

The "Korean Standard": Instead of large incisions (Coronal approach), we use 3–5 tiny incisions hidden within the hairline.

Using a high-resolution Endoscope, we carefully release the ligaments holding the brow down and fixate the tissue in a higher position using Endotine (bio-absorbable implants) or sutures. This results in a brighter, more alert expression without visible scars.

Technology

Full HD Endoscopy

Surgeons navigate nerves and blood vessels in real-time on a 4K screen, ensuring zero nerve damage and minimal bleeding.

Fixation

Endotine Anchoring

We use FDA-approved Endotine devices to distribute tension evenly across multiple points, preventing the "surprised" look.

Nerve Safety

Supraorbital Nerve

Preserving the sensory nerves of the forehead is the critical skill of our surgeons to prevent permanent numbness.

Who Needs a Brow Lift?

Do you look "angry" or "tired" even when you are not?

Primary Indications

  • Heavy Hooded Eyes: Eyelids droop because the brow is pushing them down.
  • Short Eye-Brow Distance: Less than 2cm between eye and brow.
  • Deep Forehead Wrinkles: Caused by constantly raising eyebrows to see better.
  • Glabella Frown Lines: Permanent "11" lines between eyebrows.

Self-Test

  • Look in the mirror and manually lift your forehead with your hand.
  • If your eyes look brighter and your double eyelid becomes visible, you need a Brow Lift, not Eyelid Surgery.

Eyelid Surgery vs. Brow Lift?

Cutting eyelid skin when the brow is sagging makes the eyes look "stuffed."

Surgical Approach

Precision dissection is key to longevity.

Incision

Hairline Incision (Endoscopic)

3 to 5 small vertical incisions (1-2cm) are made inside the hairline. No hair is shaved. The scar is completely hidden by hair.

  • Minimal scarring
  • Faster recovery than open surgery
Release

Ligament Release

The forehead is held down by strong ligaments near the orbital rim. The surgeon must release these ligaments completely to allow the brow to move upward.

  • Key to long-lasting results
  • Smooths out frown lines (Corrugator muscles)
Fixation

Endotine Device

A specialized bio-absorbable implant with small tines. It holds the tissue securely in the new position for 6-12 months while healing, then dissolves.

  • Stronger than sutures
  • Adjustable tension

Brow Lift vs. Upper Blepharoplasty

Feature Upper Blepharoplasty Endoscopic Brow Lift
Target Area Eyelid Skin Only Forehead + Brows + Eyelids
Incision On the Eyelid Inside Hairline
Best For Loose eyelid skin Drooping brows + Forehead wrinkles
Result Sharper eyes Brighter eyes + Smooth forehead
Estimated Cost $2,500 ~ $4,000 $5,000 ~ $8,000

* Price depends on the fixation method (Endotine vs. Bone Tunneling) and anesthesia.

Recovery Timeline

Headache and numbness are temporary.

Day 1-2

Swelling

Swelling moves down to the eyes. Cold compress is essential. Head elevation is required.

Day 7-10

Stitch Removal

Staples or stitches in the scalp are removed. You can wash your hair gently the next day.

1 Mo

Sensation

Scalp numbness ("wearing a helmet" feeling) begins to fade. Endotine bumps may be felt but soften.

3-6 Mo

Full Recovery

Endotine dissolves. The forehead settles into a natural position. Numbness resolves.

Safety & Possible Risks

Understanding the healing process.

Scalp Numbness

Sensory nerves are stretched during lifting. Numbness/itching is common and resolves over 3-6 months.

Over-Correction

Looking "surprised." Brows drop about 20% during the first month, so slight over-correction is planned initially.

Palpability

You may feel the Endotine bumps under the skin. This is normal and disappears as the device dissolves.

Hair Shock Loss

Temporary hair thinning near the incision. Hair follicles usually recover within 3-4 months.

FAQ

Common questions, answered clearly.

Will I have a scar on my forehead?
No. All incisions are placed 1-2cm inside the hairline. Unless you have extremely thin hair, they are invisible.
Can I remove the Endotine?
It naturally absorbs into the body within 6-12 months. Removal is not necessary unless there is an infection (very rare).
Does this surgery make my forehead wider?
Endoscopic brow lift can slightly raise the hairline. If you already have a high forehead, we may recommend a "Pretrichial Incision" (Hairline lowering) approach instead.
